Eddie and Watchmen

By the grace of chance I was able to see Eddie Izzard last night at the Orpheum Theater. As always, he's a crackup. My face muscles are sore today because I was laughing and smiling so damn hard last night. Innnnnteresting. Most, but not all, of those shots I could immediately connect back to very specific graphic novel panels. Makes me wonder if they're going to aim for a very close translation, or if they're showing us the close match to calm down the purists. ;)

Yup. According to the director, it was quite intentional.

sagahar, you should definitely read the novel as soon as possible. :)

I'm nowhere near a comics geek, but it's one of the most interesting stories I ever read.

I suggest Reading the Graphic Novel, first, 'cause it's a keeper. This way, the movie won't impinge on the book.
