Day 1: Portland has been Delayed Due to Technical Difficulties

Instead I bring you... Day 1: The "Check Engine" Light.

The check engine light in my car came on for possibly the first time ever. Unfortunately the problem is not an obvious one that my father and I could fix ourselves. Rather it is a silent and obscure problem. Therefore the trip has been delayed by 1 day.

Sometimes, car companies do that to remind you of regular maintenance. Honda is the king of all rip-offs when it comes to that. They have that thing go on, you go to the dealership and see what the hell is going on and they say oh you just have to get this "tiny part you never heard of replaced" it will cost $5.

Now, they do that for millions of other Honda cars around the world. Yeah.
