Last week a too-brief visit with friends Rick and Carol. Perhaps a spell of temporary insanity impelled them to leave California for the dubious benefits of Vancouver-Portland winter adventure. Whatever our friends peculiar reasoning, it was a wonderful time, fun and relaxed and bountiful

Best temporary insanity ever- it was a great experience in all respects...but i think I may get Rick a nice on sale down coat this week...he looked a bit chilly and his coat has no real lining...just rain protection.
Keep your list going of great places to go and great food to cook! We shall return....

Reading up quickly about down jackets. They are the best and they cram into tiny volume, but can set you back $500 at Northface. I'll consult with The Joe. He might have suggestions for something as warm and light, but less spendy.

As to continuing the expansion of the food list ... oh, all right #8^) If you feel you are getting too sane again, please come on up!
