Full and busy social calendar the past three weeks. Whitney, Joe and Dan up from Berkeley for Adam’s wedding. Adam is our sons’ friend from next door - “since they’s babies.” In effect our third son, except we neglected to sign adoption papers, and mutually so did Adam’s parents for Mr Joe and Mr Dan. Given that history the wedding day was charged

Only one job, unless you consider the writing stuff. "Day" job is sort of a graveyard affair, 4 am to 12:30. This time of year I'm in bed before the sun is fully set. Next time, maybe!

David- you are so drawn to....gloom. I am really glad that we did NOT see King Lear. GO if you must...but please...be sure you don't pile misery on economic travesties with a resulting collapse of all hope. Seriously...seek the light, young padawan...it is not all doom out there, and your lovely descriptions of our fun and frolic, the boys' visit, Whitney, and Joyce's family visit show that...

Gloom is not a mandatory antidote for joy.
