Well hello there! Allow me to introduce myself, I am Doctor Wily. Perhaps you've heard of me? No? Oh well.
Now, say you have a robot you once considered your own son. Say he betrayed you somewhere along the line to save his 'little brother', whom he'd never met before a few months. Say that since then, he's been making radical changes to your blueprints, and tearing your plans down around your ears just as they were about to succeed.
Now, say you found said robot unconscious outside of your Skull Fortress. Should I dismantle him, keep him in custody while I finish building my next few Robot Masters, wipe his mind and turn him into a brainless drone, or reprogram him? He has a history of escaping things, and with his programming it would take even me a long while to make sure he was completely loyal.
