Alternates and home...
I know a lot of you here have seen alternate universes before, so maybe someone has an idea... but...
What do you do when suddenly there's a whole lot of alternates of people you know... Only they're from some universe that's just... just twisted. Too happy, too nice. Maybe in ways you always wished your own home was, maybe not...
And the difference is just enough that the sight of them just makes you sick. Sick enough that you'd do almost anything to see something that's the way you remember it instead of... that.
And the alternate of yourself... makes you almost glad your home was as bad as it was, because otherwise you could have been him.
I.. I think I'm going to try to avoid them as much as I can... the Nexus is a big place... But... how do I tell who's an alternate before I go near them? And how do I try not to be... I.. I guess 'homesick'... when 'home' isn't a place I should go back to?
