So I've been going back home a bit more often, trying to get a feel for what's been going on...
Basically, not only does it look like Kooluk did cause Iluya's destruction with some sort of searing beam of light, but they're seriously stepping up their efforts to take over the Island Nations. Obel got attacked, though there's rumors that the king and lots of the natives escaped on a huge ship... And the commander of the knights protecting Razril just handed the island over without a fight, from what I've heard. My homeland is not a fun place to be right now.
Anyway, with things the way they are, staying on Nay all the time seems like a waste. I want to get out there and do something... Maybe track down that boat, if it's possible... So I've been stocking up to head out. Already got a second rune, a Wind one, though admittedly I decided to get it based on other factors...
The problem is, I don't have much money. Most of my potch usually goes to buying medicine, or getting some more protective gear. My new rune has a healing spell I can use, but I can only cast it a couple of times before I've gotta rest, plus it cuts into using my Thunder Runner spell... and if I run into any really strong monsters, I may need that handy. Right now, I've got barely enough potch that I could have my claws sharpened to 'bout level six-grade. That'd mean I'd be doing a lot more damage, but the trade-off is, I wouldn't be able to afford any medicine or other supplies.
So any suggestions on what I should do? I've been thinking of splitting the difference, but where should the divide be? Should I upgrade Take That! to level four or five, and go with taking less medicine along than I'm used to, or go all the way to six and take the risk of using up the few bottles I have left and getting in a real pinch?
...And Mister Talks-to-Daisies? If you don't mind, I'd like to get that trip you were interested in taking over here taken care of soon. There's practically a war going on already, though there haven't been any major ship battles that I've heard of, and while Nay's a pretty peaceful place, it is close to Iluya, and I'd rather not risk having a guest get caught in the crossfire if they decide to attack.
((And on another note, *invoke invoke invoke*! I'd love to see other characters from Suikoden IV, or the Suikoden series in general... I know we've got a Tir, a Rubi and Pane Panschild, but who else is here? And who else wants to be here? ^_^ I'm thinking of taking another character from one of the earlier games, but wouldn't have them interacting with Wendel, so... ))
