*Cain walks in, leaning on his cain, a sad look on his face*
I decided to take the advice I recieved here, and went to visit the Maverick Hunter Main Headquarters, like I'd been offered to by Signas. It... had been a long while since I'd been there. I got to see some old friends, make peace with them, learn about some new ones.
For a while, it was pleasant.
But it turns out... someone alerted the press. It turned into a media circus, and a protest. Evidentally, everyone thought that this was a sign that the doddering old fool Cain would be returning to the Hunters' administration. After the disaster that was the Repliforce, no one wanted the orchestrator of that to be in a position of power...
But that's not the worst part of it. A group of Mavericks took this as an opportunity to cause an incident... cause a spectacle... and after the first shot was fired... *sighs*
A lot... a lot of people ended up dead. The city's in turmoil. They're asking how a Maverick cell could have existed underneath the Hunters' very noses. And there are several calling for my arrest. *shakes his head* I know they don't have a legal leg to stand on, but...

I still feel responsible.
Should I? Because this old fool feels like he should go back home and never leave it again...
