Freya strolls into the Nexus, a silver tray piled high with chocolate truffles balanced on one arm and several dozen flowers cradled by the other. Finding a clear table, she sets the flowers and sweets down, taking a moment to claim a truffle for herself before perching on the edge of the table and addressing the Nexus.
"Valentine's Day, a day of love and romance for those lucky few who have found true happiness, a day of disappointments and depression for so many others. What can I, as a goddess of love, do to help make yours better? I'm feeling generous.
"And please, enjoy the flowers and chocolates, and join in the celebration."
((So here's the deal: the flowers and truffles are LOLed. Anyone taking them will either fall in love with their worst enemy for a few days, fall in love with the next person they see, or finally have the courage to tell someone they like how they really feel.
If you want your character to indulge in the gifts and not be LOLed, the pistachio truffles and white carnations are safe.))
