A newcomer stumbles into the area highlighted by the sign, and blinks until his eyes become adjusted enough to the light for him to stare at his hands in amazement. As his breathing calms he starts to chuckle, examining his hands and arms with delight.
After all that, he pays attention to his surroundings, to the sign and therefore the rules. He considers the crowd with a restrained grin before asking, "What are you thankful for?"
