A sign by the Sign

Dec 29, 2010 16:32

Not far from the Sign is a couch, with an endtable beside it. There are throw pillows on the couch, a cheap fleece blanket across the back, and a small jester figurine of some kind left on a couch arm. The wooden 'doll', if that's what it is, is a little under two feet tall and very well made.

On the endtable is a discarded pizza box, turned inside out and stood up like a sandwichboard sign. Next to it is a discarded wide-tip marker. The latter has been used to write on the former. The message reads: WHAT IS THIS PLACE?

It's not that the writer didn't read the sign... more that he still doesn't quite get what he's fallen into here.

((Note: For psychic pups: The stringless marionette wrote the note. And he's watching. For pups with superhuman sniffers: the puppet has a slight scent of alchemical experiments, and an even fainter scent of old blood. For the magically inclined: yes, there is magic here))
