This is really good. Secret-paternity is such a fandom cliche (in every fandom) that this must have been scary to write, but it really turned out great. (And I do have a weakness for stories that re-vamp a cliched plot and do it justice.) Grrrrrrrr to House for waiting so long to tell Chase, but I can totally see him reacting that way. And House trying to be a good father, from a distance, is very touching--I can see him doing that, too. It makes me wonder what'll happen next--what it'll be like for Chase to have had a father who loved him, even if he didn't know it.
