It breaks my heart reading about all this racist bullshit connected to Amandla Stenberg's role as Rue in The Hunger Games (I only just found out about it today). Amandla was, in my opinion, one of the few things I really enjoyed about the film. That pissed me off too. It clearly says in the book that her skin is dark, so anyone who didn't see this coming is illiterate. I've seen clips of her, and she plays the role fantastically, and the way she's handling all of this racism is so mature, I feel so proud of her. I just want to give her a big hug. Watch and see, she'll rise above this, and become a really popular and amazing actress all throughout her life. Screw the haters, she's perfect.

I'm sorry to hear work has been so rough on you hon *hugs* I hope it let's up at least when the moving is over. Thank goodness for your friends, I'm so glad you have them and that they take good care of you. You deserve all the happiness in the world, but you knew I'd say that.

Awww, family fun times. I hope you get to show the kids around the parks because that is guaranteed happy cici time which is the best time.

From what I understand, she is black in the book, not just dark-skinned, as are also some of the other characters. I've never read "The Hunger Games" novels. In this country, "White" is more marketable, I guess. This is a typical reaction of white ameriKKKa. I read some of their reactions, they even included the "N" word in some of them. Some things never change.
