So, here's a question to my fellow suburban, sylvan residing friends. Does it count as me hitting a deer if, while stopped to allow a deer to cross, another deer stupidly runs into my car? Cause as far as I can tell, the deer hit me.

Car and I are fine, there is naught but a damp fur-smudge in the salt residue.

The deer is totally at fault. Did you exchange insurance? Did it take off? If so, I hope you got the plate number and reported it for a hit and run.
