I don't need to be anonymous, but...

I am no longer pumping, but my son still nurses frequently when I'm around. I am looking forward to making it to a year of breastfeeding. Knowing that you are rooting for me and proud of me makes a big difference. In my heart of hearts I want to nurse at least at wake up and bed times for another year.

i absolutely fucking hate breastfeeding. i think hard core breastnazis are fucking insane. i can't wait until my kid is old enough to wean. when i see pregnant women, i think "sucks to be you".

I'm sorry. Is there anything in particular that makes breastfeeding unbearable? I had a really rough first year and sometimes it helped to kvetch and complain and feel like my annoyances were valid and okay.

I have done it for almost 5 years between three kids. Two of the kids have had feeding issues of some type or another. Also, just producing milk is draining physically. I cannot stand doing it. But I have gone a year with two of my kids and the baby I am feeding now I plan on going a year or long with too. I am doing it for them because it is what is best for them. But it is by no means pleasant or easy.

It really says something about you that despite the fact that you hate doing it so much, you're willing to suck it up and do it for your baby anyway.
