Things I Like:
- Canon! I nominate things because I love the canon worlds, and while I don't mind canon AUs or canon divergences, I want to read about these particular characters.
- That said, feel free to write pre- or post-canon (especially where noted!) and fill in the gaps of canon
- I also love competency. When a character is good at something, I want everyone to know it, dammit!
- Tropes: secretly dating, pretend dating, friends-to-lovers, 5+1, families of choice, outsider POV, angst with a happy ending, hurt/comfort, humor
- Casefic
- If you make art, I'll probably love it! I'm not artistic at all myself, so I love seeing what other people can do. I don't have any strong preferences in art styles- I promise that if you can draw more than a stick figure, I will be impressed!

Discworld

What I like about canon: I was pretty late to the game, and only got into Discworld in the last few years. So I haven’t read anything like the entire series. But what I have read, I’ve loved. Pratchett’s writing is light and fun, but with a solid substance underneath. My favorites include Monstrous Regiment (so well-written that I enjoyed it despite knowing the twist ahead of time), Carpe Jugulum, and The Wee Free Men.
What I’d like: Something with atmosphere, whatever that means to you. These characters are in Discworld, which is both like and unlike our world, and I'd like your interpretation of what that means. Set it anywhere in canon- it's pretty sprawling.
Pride and Prejudice

What I like about canon: I’m a huge fan of this book- it’s the Austen book I’ve read the most. I picked it up for the first time in 8th grade and have loved it ever since. I love the relationships between the characters, I love Austen's writing (it's a classic for a reason), I love watching the characters grow- and refuse to grow, in some cases.
What I’d like: I’d especially love post-canon, though pre-canon would be nice for Bingley & Darcy and Charlotte &/ Lizzy. (Though post-canon Charlotte/Elizabeth, where their respective husbands are their beards, could be interesting.) Maybe some art of a moment-in-the-life for the characters, or that looks like a Regency portrait.
A Tangled Web

What I like about canon: This is my favorite of L.M. Montgomery’s books. I wasn’t actually the one who
nominated it (who are you, other Tangled Web fan?) and was super excited when I saw it on the tagset.
What I’d like: Anything! This is a fascinating set of characters, and I’d love to see what you do with them. Pre-canon, during canon, post-canon, whatever!
Avatar: the Last Airbender
Ships: Katara/Zuko, Sokka/Suki
Gen: Iroh & Zuko, Toph & Iroh, Toph & the Badger Moles
What I like about canon: Oh, how I love this show. I love all of the characters, in their own ways. I love the mythology of the show, I love that it goes a little dark in places (season 2 finale, anyone?) but never loses hope, and I just love the sense of fun. The creators had a good idea of how to use the characters' bending in interesting ways, for fun and for fighting, and it's never boring to watch.
What I’d like: Toph learning to bend from the badger moles pre-canon could be cute (tiny!Toph!) - or Toph going back and interacting with the badger moles post-canon. Or Iroh giving advice over tea or a game of pai sho. Or either Sokka/Suki or Katara/Zuko training together, or having sweet or spicy moments.
Gravity Falls
Ships: Pacifica Northwest/Mabel Pines
Gen: Dipper Pines & Mabel Pines
What I like about canon: I wish this show had been on when I was a kid. It doesn’t condescend or talk down to its target audience, and it has a great mythology. The relationship between Dipper and Mabel is sweet and cute, without being unrealistic. And I love Pacifica: at first, she seems like a standard mean girl, but it’s pretty clear that there’s more to her than meets the eye.
What I’d like: Something that captures the spirit of the show, whether that means adventures with the supernatural in Gravity Falls or the characters just hanging out at the Mystery Shack.
Steven Universe
Ships: Rose Quartz/Greg Universe, Ruby/Sapphire, Connie Maheswaran/Steven Universe
Gen: Connie Maheswaran & Steven Universe, Amethyst & Steven Universe, Pearl & Steven Universe, Garnet & Steven Universe, Amethyst & Vidalia, Peridot & Steven Universe
What I like about canon: EVERYTHING. I'll be honest, it didn't hook me at first. Then I went back and tried again, and- next thing I knew, I'd watched every episode ever. I love the relationships the Crystal Gems have with Steven, I love Connie &/ Steven, I love Peridot and how terrified and confused and angry she is, I love Ruby/Sapphire and how they complement each other.
What I’d like: Again, something that captures the spirit of the show. Crystal Gem adventures, weirdness in Beach City, contrasts between what Steven & company think is normal and what Beach City denizens think are normal.

What I like about canon: This franchise reintroduced me to my love of superheroes, so whatever flaws it has, it holds a special place in my heart for that. They're fun, popcorny action flicks that have spawned a lot of great fic.
What I’d like: Art of a quiet moment between superheroing adventures, whatever you think that looks like. Or superhero adventures! I'm definitely not opposed to character moments. And I'd love anything with non-hero characters and how they interact with the heroes in their lives.
The Princess Bride

What I like about canon: One of my all-time favorite movies. It's cute and funny and charming and I can quote it by heart.
What I’d like: Inigo as the new Dread Pirate Roberts and Fezzik as his first mate. Buttercup and Westley on the run from Humperdinck. All four of them in the aftermath of the movie.
Star Wars Movies

What I’d like: Anything. A sweet domestic moment (what does that look like in the Star Wars universe?), space adventures (Jedi, Sith, smugglers, etc.), or whatever! During canon, pst-canon, in between movies, all of it is great.
