I think this is the longest break I've ever taken from lj, but it's been quite an adjustment bringing another baby home. We're doing ok but Evan has had a really hard time adjusting. I wondered about PPD when I had Zinnia too, but then I read that if the sadness doesn't go away even when you have help with the baby and enough rest, then you have PPD. I always felt fine as long as Plato was home. It was exactly like you said, I couldn't leave a room without one of the kids, because Caspian would sit on Zinnia or something crazy! And that's a lot of stress. You can't even run into the next room to grab a wet wipe without worrying you'll come back to a horrific baby squashing.
I know that it was different for my kids, because Caspian was littler, but I bet that it'll get better soon for Evan too. Once Teagan can interact a bit more, he'll probably get really into being a big brother.

You said it perfectly: A horrific baby squashing! That's exactly what I'm afraid of and trust me, we've come mighty close!

I do see the light at the end of the tunnel with Evan's jealousy. He was pushing Teagan (way too hard IMO)in her swing and right as I was about to scream at him to stop she started laughing. She looks at him with such utter adoration that it kills me. There's a picture of it on my Facebook page. So...here's to hoping!
