I got a lot done today while Evan's at school. Teagan's been sleeping too since she got her DTaP this morning. I'm having trouble managing the mounds of clothes in this house. Don't get me wrong, I'm extremely grateful for all of the freebie clothes that people have given me for my kids. It's just hard for me to store in a manner that makes sense ( Read more... )

With two boys, I have boy clothes coming out my ears! I feel your pain. It can be overwhelming to organize it all!

Not sure if you read but I'm also going back to school to be a RN. I'm just starting prereqs in the summer. I am also considering being a CNA for the same reasons as you.

I just came back to lj after a long absence...I saw you were going back to school but I didn't know for what. I have to get myself on track and do something. I've been talking about going for my RN forever. The program for CNA is so short and having school paid for is a huge thing for us so I think that's the way I'm going to proceed. Plus, after watching cows give birth tonight on Dirty Jobs, I really want to make sure I can cope with blood and stuff before I put a huge effort in!

My kids have the same thing going on! I seriously cut back on it all when we moved, and just put everything they had outgrown on the curb for some lucky passerby to claim. It all got snatched up.
I vow to only get them about a third this much clothing the next time they need clothes. Which won't be for awhile because dang, they have a lot of clothes.

I've thought about Salvation Army but then there are so many super cute things that I just can't bear to just donate! It's my own fault that it's so much work. Any normal person wouldn't put themselves through all of the various stages of getting rid of clothes that I have!

I still think of all the super cute things that were in the bag of clothes and wish I had found someone specific to give them to! I guess we just get weird about possessions. It doesn't feel right to just discard baby clothes, when the baby who wore them is so beloved.
