What kind of music do your kids listen to?

So, for those of you who are parents - I ask this question!
Anyone with children pretty much over 3 years old (but not yet 12 years old or anything)

What kind of music do they listen to? what do they choose or want to listen to, etc!

Let me know, I want to kind of compare it against alexander, who has.. perhaps different musical interests? :)

The one nephew I have left in that age bracket is a big Red Hot Chili Peppers fan. I dunno how, but... it works.

There's a lot of stuff I like, and that the kids like, that I don't let them listen to at their age range (3-5) mostly because my 3 year old has a habit of picking up phrases from things like 'shithead' and 'fucker' lately.

We have classical, and a lot of jazz, (ie charlie parker, thelonious monk, miles davis), tmbg, the beatles, lots of stuff with good melodies.

Last night we listed to the "Let it Be" album, Neil Young's "Harvest", and my favorite LP the Quintet (Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie Parker, Charles Mingus, Bud Powell and Max Roach) the live at Massey Hall LP.

Generally my kids like anything with a really strong beat to it.

Rayna is 7 and she is not really into music. She actually has an ipod and only listens to audiobooks on it. Most of the girls her age are into high school musical and Hannah Montana. (and I am so glad she is not) She does love the Beatles and the Greatful Dead thou (no surprise.. that is what my husband and I listen to)

Noah is 4.. He only likes his theme songs from his TV shows

my kids are strange

What does he like? How old is he now :) he is just a little younger than Rayna right?
