Should a super hero save stupid kids who jump in front of buses or off of waterfalls? No, of course not. So why do they? Don't they realize that evolution is a crucial process? If a kid JUMPS OFF A WATERFALL, why does Superman save him? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l2Mm6Ppj3e8

I was wondering if this was a hoax at first. It seems not to be, though.

Not just one dumb kid, but HIS FIVE FRIENDS also couldn't figure out that this was Not A Good Idea.

There's been some speculation--but apparently just by people on the internet--that this was actually a hazing/bullying type of thing, and the "he asked us to do it" was invented later. That would almost be more believable.

Wild speculation and rumors are different. That was only speculation of people on youtube who had 4th hand information.

Anyways, sand is porous, I can see failing to realize how thick it is if you bury yourself in it. Guess no one but the kids who did it will ever know for sure.
