The Robot's Appearance

So, I wanted to make my robot look like something. I didn't want to make it look like a cute doll in a maid outfit. I want to make something that people who see it will say "cool" and at the same time cater to my geek personality. Keeping that in mind it would also have to be something that I can make myself. right now everything only exists in soft copy. The only hardware I've ordered are 2 of the eventual 26 servo's I'm going to need (since they're about $25 a piece, it's going to cost a lot of money to buy them all) so instead every paycheck I'll order 2 until I have the full amount. Also I have no idea how much it's going to cost to build the skeleton to hold all the parts nor the exterior shell (though it shouldn't cost more than $100) I also need to get the PCB for it manufactured and that's going to run about $120 to get two prototypes made (if the first works out I may build an optimus prime to go with megatron) The next thing I plan on doing is building a paper craft model to scale so I know how to build/arrange the interior components. I'm going to go with a heavy card stock since it'll have the appropriate thickness that'll be comparable to the sheet metal ( ... )
