Jesus, SJ! That's really bizarre...and creepy...and, as you said,icky.
I can't figure out how your immune system managed to tolerate someone else's bone fragment. Or how it was not found and removed when you had medical care after the "incident". Uh, assuming you had medical care?
As I recall (and I'll be the third person to admit that my recall isn't what it used to be), but as I recall, the corpsman we had onboard gave me the most powerful pain killers he had (tooth pain is a bitch kitty, y'know) and I received good medical care when we returned to the base ... call it sometime the next morning, around ten hours later.
Oh, I'm pretty sure it was my bone fragment or, and more likely, maybe a tooth fragment. All I know for sure is that it was there when I left the hospital a couple of days later and I've been running my tongue over it since. Actually, it feels kinda odd for it to be missing, really.

Oh, I'm pretty sure it was my bone fragment or, and more likely, maybe a tooth fragment. All I know for sure is that it was there when I left the hospital a couple of days later and I've been running my tongue over it since. Actually, it feels kinda odd for it to be missing, really.
