Feeling better
So, I'm not going to end up homeless ^_^ Josh and I found a place, and we can move in Wednesday (which, technically, is one day AFTER we're supposed to be out of our current apartment, but they've screwed us over so much I don't really care about screwing them over for one day :P) As expected, our rent is increasing about 50%, but it should be fine with our current job situations (with my raise and his recent return to employment). But the new place is much nicer than our current one, and some improvements are being done to it before we move in (which is why we have to wait until Wednesday, after they originally said we could move in this weekend). It even has a creek running through the middle of the two buildings....lots of ducks and stuff for our cat Leopold to watch and meow at ^_^
Apparently, the new management can't wait one freaking week for the rest of us to move out, because they've already started doing more renovations....LOUD renovations, EARLY in the morning. Just a couple days ago, they ripped off all of the siding on our building....we don't even have our mailbox anymore! Thanks a lot, guys ..|..
Ugh, and I still have to finish packing. You know, you'd think that having all of my manga and gashapon filling two bookshelves would look excessive as it is, but it actually looks even more excessive when packed away in boxes, just because of the sheer number of boxes I have to use ^_^;; Some of them have other stuff in them as well, but there's currently 12 boxes that contain anime and manga paraphernalia. That's what Josh and I have to show for over a decade of otakuness....
