Gravitation Track #75 Japanese

Jan 29, 2008 16:39

Well, this came out a couple of days ago, but it's been so long since the last track that I forgot to keep checking the webcomic site regularly. But it has finally arrived, and it's more than 5 pages! Rejoice! Be on the lookout for more long-last characters.

Picking up where the last track left off (Eiri asking about whether Shuuichi was dead), Eiri says that he thought they had let Shuuichi die, but now he has to think again. Hiro says that it's too early to think again, since although Shuuichi isn't dead, it's still possible that he could die. His injuries aren't that serious, but he might not regain consciousness. Eiri asks why, and Hiro says they don't know, but he just won't wake up, or rather, it seems like he doesn't want to wake up.

Eiri goes in to see Shuuichi (wasn't he blind? *shrug* Oh well ^_^;;), and finds him sprawled out on the bad, happily snoring away. Eiri mutters to himself about how he doesn't look like he's in a coma, and he should be able to wake up him by hitting him once. He pinches his cheek and scolds him for frightening him over such small injuries. Resting his head on Shuuichi, he says that he thought he could have been dead (Awwww *_*). Meanwhile, all the nurses are fangirling over this scene. The tender moment is interrupted further when Maiko bursts in, yelling at Shuuichi to wake up as she kicks him out of bed (literally :P). She keeps yelling at him about how he's scaring everyone, how he always causes trouble to everyone, and forces his limp body to bow and apologize (repeatedly slamming his head into the floor in the process). Hiro tells her to stop because she's scaring Eiri, and Maiko, apparently just realizing that Eiri is there, gets embarrassed. Eiri comments that it seems it really is true that Shuuichi won't wake up no matter what. K appears and blasts Shuuichi with his bazooka (frying him, but not waking him), and wonders if he should try using nuclear weapons. Hiro tries pouring water on Shuuichi, while Touma wields a huge freaking axe and says that he'll kill Shuuichi (joking, of course....*wink*). Maiko tells them to stop, and that they should figure out what's causing Shuuichi to not want to wake up. She wonders if someone might have said something troubling to him, and they all immediately look at Eiri.

Eiri says that he didn't intend to say anything troubling to Shuuichi, he only told him that he didn't need his eyes (though for someone blind, he seems to be using them a lot in this track :P) He's already found what he needs, so there's nothing else he needs to see. Maiko thinks that's totally cool and poetic. Hiro says he doesn't get it, and Maiko can't believe he doesn't understand such sensitivity, and offers him a bunch of books to read. He says he'll read them later, but right now he just wants to understand why Eiri's OK with not being able to see, and Maiko yells out that it's romantic. She continues on to say that Eiri still has a responsibility to stay beautiful for Shuuichi, because what Shuuichi needs most is Eiri's face. Eiri must stay perfect forever, or Shuuichi will never wake up. Eiri says that's the reason, because, as he told Ryuuichi before (many maaaany tracks ago) that he doesn't have any good qualities besides his face. Hiro says that can't be true, he must have other good qualities, and after thinking a second he says he also has money (great save, Hiro :P) Eiri says that they can go ahead and boil or cook Shuuichi if they want. Hiro says that even doing that wouldn't wake him up, and Suguru laments about how this will be the end of Bad Luck if they can't do their work anymore. Eiri says they could just use a doll or CG to substitute for him, and asks sarcastically if they'd want him to sing in Shuuichi's place. Everyone pauses, and K blows something up outside (the nuclear explosion, I suppose). Everyone starts discussing Eiri's idea (I think they're talking about the plan involving him singing?) and they all agree that it seems like a good idea. Eiri gets a total "oh, shit" look on his face....

On the final page, we see Riku palling around with Michael (K's son....remember him?) Michael talks about how it's hard to have a dad who's famous, having to listen to all the Japanese women yelling out for him. He says to Riku to just tell them he doesn't speak Japanese, or get K to take care of them. Riku asks if Micheal's Papa is strong, and he says he is, but he's weak around his Mama. Riku says his Papa and Mama are the same way ^_^ Michael comments that men are the same no matter where you go. To be continued....

Whew, that chapter was a handful....Shuuichi in a coma, all of Maiko's ranting about romance and stuff, Eiri making stupid suggestions that everyone else takes seriously, and a random appearance by Michael (wonder if Murakami-sensei will remember poor old pregnant Mika next). If I'm right and they're gonna make Eiri sing, I can't wait to see it ^_^ I'm sure it'll pull Shuuichi out of his coma (though how much you wanna bet he'll have amnesia when he comes out of it? ;P)
