Yay, so Louis is here, safe and sound. Japanese cuisine was eaten. Tomorrow (Thursday) we travel to Cleveland to pick up Christine. Expect me on AIM sporadically, as i could have 3 people vying for control of the computer.
Last quarter we covered the potential (taberareru), the conditional (tabetara), representative (tabetari suru), the provisional (tabereba), plus smaller patterns like bakari and tokoro, -yoo to suru, to site/ni site, and so on. This quarter so far we've studied only 27B: "quantity expression + mo" (roku-nen mo), using the provisional to make statements like "sureba suru hodo" (the more I do [it]... [the more I like it]), number + to mo, wake and X wake ni wa/mo ikanai, and the phrase particle sae. 28A includes the causative (tabesaseru), imperfective verbal + made ni, and predicate X + zya nai (ka) ("Surely you agree with Predicate X!")
The vocabulary that we're learning is entirely random. A section might have a couple words that relate, but there's no overall theme anymore. We're up to only #38x~ish in the kanji workbook. Slooow going.
Oh, I should add, we're all slowly going crazy over here. Japanese is getting the better of us, like we're ichi-nen-sei again, and we're going crazy as a result. I don't think many of us are going to be in the class in Spring quarter, either because some people are going to Kobe to study, or like me we can't fit it in our schedules. We get out of class and it's like a huge weight is off our shoulders just for another 23 hours :P
Ne, Bre-chan... were we still planning on getting everyone together at the Lizard on the north end of town before Louis leaves? Lemme know what's going on. Thanks. =)

I'll have to talk to J.J. about if he wants to come or not. He might be feeling the crush of spending too much money as one can on a trip like he went on this weekend.
Plus, let's play it by ear due to the weather. I'm not really keen on driving out to Worthington if the roads are covered in ice, y'know?
Well, from what I'm hearing on the weather report. It's not very good right now... winter mix continues till this afternoon, then we get hit by another blast later tonight. Doesn't look very good right now, though I'm not going to outright dash my hopes just yet. ^^
...well, if it isn't the weather that kills my plans, it's my roommates, who decide since I'm the only one with a car, I have to be the one that picks him up from work, and haul him to the grocery store, and deprive me of needed sleep in the process. *Grrrrs... finds random wall to start pounding on*
