Yes I too beleive I have cute little mice but they are in the ceiling. I can hear them pitter pattering at night. But I really don't mind as long as they do not come out of the ceiling and into the apartment. I am thinking of them as my free pets!

Evening - outside of the house is one thing....inside the house is a whole different monster. I recommend that you have the house exterminated (your landlord is responsible for that) or take matters into your own hands by setting traps. And I would not wait any longer. I will not remind you of the horror stories that Jim and I have about a house that was infested with mice... It can get very ugly and very quickly. Don't wait.
