Mom came up for the weekend and we had a real good visit and by the time she left I really was feeling better. Yesterday and today I have been fine, up until just now. I am about to leave for the shrink's office and I am experiencing some anxiety over it. THe problem with WebMD is self-diagnosis -- I have worried myself that maybe I'm bi-polar. well, it's good to hear that you're feeling better. If I was you, I'd be antsy about going to a therepist as well. I don't like them much but I'm told (mostly by my X, who's studying to BE one) that they're most effective if you ignore that you may feel for periods that you don't need to go. You see, the brain reacts to outside help in odd ways, the most common of them being to temporarily "Fix" itself. But they're used to it. If you continue to attend eventually you will relax and let him see a few bad days. and THEN he can help.

well actually, tonight I'm seeing the therapist; last night was the psychiatrist. He just gives out the candy. I've been seeing the therapist for a month and he has seen me on at least two bad days. I'm seeing the regular doc on Thursday to rule out a thyroid problem. The only good thing about seeing all these quacks this week is that it makes the week go by faster.

well... and you can sell the candy to grade schoolers and make rent without really having to work. Wait... was that out loud?

I'm actually not going to start taking the meds (cymbalta) until I get the results back from the thyroid test. I figure if the problem is my thyroid then that is a more direct route to feeling better, than antidepressants, etc.
