I think it's far too convenient, especialy because when I woke up I was originaly watching channel 3. Then I switched to 5 (I <3 channel 5 news) and on 3 they had been ranting about how no one had expected this.

While on 5 they were talking about how Bush had been in contact with the Prime Minister of England for a few months now xD. Though, I think they're just doing it to save oil because of shutting down the alaskan pipeline, which was stupid.

THAT was caused by pure stupidity, all they had to do was normal maintanance but noooo~ they were LAZY FUCKS and didn't and so now it's shut down. Pfft. This shit is just that, utter shit, I imagine tomorow we'll be talking about this quite a bit at lunch xD

of course it's convenient.

but being as paranoid as I am, I don't think my opinion counts for much (especially since I make up conspiracy theories in my spare time...)

then again, power corrupts, so it's plausible that anyone in charge (no matter who they used to be) would invent dangers and plots in order for the people to approve increased government power. worked pretty well for the nazis. usually in america it's xenophobia that's used, but anything will work. (spanish-american war, anyone?)
