Don't read this, you will be horrified.

Or not. Maybe you won't be horrified. Maybe you should be. I think I freaked out Carlos when we were talking about this, but honestly that's just what he gets for trying to be too intellectual right in my face too late at night.

The topic was same sex marriages.

Don't say I didn't warn you, 'cause I DID. )

And then Ruth became a Madame to run a legalized Brothel ...

The term 'sex critic' almost had me fall out of my chair. Visions of critic columns in the newspapers reviewing brothels and women the way one reads movie reviews nowadays. (course then i can see the critics getting sued for slander by disgruntled businessmen and women who he railed against)

Sex critics exist in Europe and elsewhere online. How else would people know which hookers chloroform you to rake through your wallet?

I'd totally be a sex critic. Being a madam would be too much work!

It makes me sad that the idea of legalized prostitution would explode your f-list. I keep hoping America will pull its giant donut-fed head out of its ass and work on legalization, because, like Gay Marriage, it will make big strides towards protecting people and contributing to equal rights for everyone.

I thought you'd get the connection. :-) You're a true scholar.

It's not an organic connection that I'd make right away, but it becomes clear that countries with the best human rights records have legalized both.

Well, the Bunny Ranch is a legal brothel. Their top prostitue makes over a million a year. I don't know that I get the connection between same sex marriage and prostitution. I do agree that there is no meeting of minds from the two sides of the issue. It's a religious and moral mandate for the conservatives. It's not a debate, it's an argument over the fact that marriage is a man and a woman. Same sex marriage is against the bible ( ... )
