I had originally planned on writing an elaborate entry regarding the definition of Audism as it may seem with the general deaf population. Due to the fact that the word itself has not yet been placed in the dictionaries, it is painfully obvious that the deaf community is lacking in terms of promoting what needs to be promoted

being deprived of equality based on hearing
and it works both ways

Actually, Arlene Kelly told me that the Deaf Studies Department(s) across the country has been applying to get "audism" inserted in the dictionary but the well-known dictionaries refused to acknowledge them. Another form of audistic reactionary, really.
