^^? Amazing. You're one of the only GUYS I know that reads erotica. Man, I wanna take one of those sexuality/psychology classes now. I wonder why guys don't read erotica so much as watch it, and vice versa for girls? I could be stupid and say that guys are too lazy to read... but that would be, well, stupid. :O :: wanders off, musing about the way peoples' minds work ::

He doesn't read it, actually, he just knows the author. :) And I think it's because guys are visual, while females want some sort of actual emotion with their porn. :D

Know It All Girl to the rescue again! ;)

Aha~ Well, I suppose that makes a bit more sense. XD It's so hard for me to understand a lot of the reasons, because I can't use myself as an example because I'm pretty much androgynous mentally... Well, so people have told me anyways. ^^; I guess most guys tend to be more visual, but at the same time... all my female friends are artists, so that really screws my perception there, too. XD Gah. Oh well. But YAY, feel free to add your two cents in on anything and everything, I love hearing other people's opinions~! Unless they're bigoted opinions. Because those kinds of people are lame. :[ <3!

I happen to love erotica (whether written or visual). My fiance ruadh_jade introduced me to the Black Lace collection, then of course there's strix_an_stones's works which are very, very good.

Actually, I have picked up some erotica in the past. It's not a genre that I hunt after, but I'll read it if it's good. What can I say, I like sex ( ... )

XD Yes... sure, occasionally there are some great stories mixed in, but for the most part.... well, erotica is erotica. I mean... it's written to arouse. That's the main function. So while you may end up liking the story at the end, everyone knows you bought it for the sex. X3 And I totally consider cheap paperback romances as erotica, too. Come on, when there's some random cliche tossed into totally unrealistic a book with a sex scene before you even get to page one (hahahaha, it amuses me what some of the back cover summaries say), it's OBVIOUSLY MEANT AS EROTICA. There's a reason they're a quarter a piece, and it's not because they're hiding some award-winning plot ( ... )
