I've got three good weekends left before I leave on a jet plane.

I just realized that I'm always leaving. It's a habit for me.

I just ran a 15:30 two-mile in the early morning rain.

It feels like Christmas.

I did it. I graduated Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training and am now a soldier in the United States Army. Of course, it hasn't even begun yet. The real Army life begins when I report to Fort Hood on May 31. From what they say, it's going to be all field problems and 25 mile marches with 70 pound rucksacks. I just had a dream in which I played poker with Colin Quinn, Morgan Freeman, and Ron Eldard. Randy Quaid came in late. At one point, Selma Blair dealt for us. I won fifty bucks. That was cool.

Christmas has always been unremarkable for me. What I really want I can't get because it cannot be bought nor sold. After spending Christmas Day with the Ritis (Thank you!), I stayed up all night watching movies. In the Army I will have to wake up at 4:30am.
