I got hit by a car this morning. (Before you get all concerned and send me your kind thoughts: It wasn't all that bad. in fact, technically, I hit the car, since he cut me off without looking, and I didn't have time to stop. hrm. i think for sympathy value it might have been better to say it was a hummer, instead of a smart car. or for humour value, you might have said how the car was worse off than you were. ;)

The car was worse off than me, but I bet it didn't get as scared as me. And if I got hit by (technically, hit) a Hummer, this post would have had a lot more of my patented "No one needs a Hummer" ranting. I hate those things.

i'm glad you've returned. these are the kind of stories that make my day. one day i'm sure i will also hit a cyclist. i will be sure to remember to wish him or her 'good luck'. it seems like the polite thing to do.
i'm glad you are ok. sorry you didn't get a bruise. how is the bike?

I'm sure I'll hit a cyclist one day, too. It seems inevitable. As a driver, being a cyclist too makes me more aware of a whole host of new and terrible things that can go wrong on the road.

The bike was fine. I had to straighten up the handlebars, and I lost a reflector, but that's it. I'm almost disappointed.

i've had a crappy day and just by chance thought you might have posted something...and like magic you reappeared!

so, the whole getting hit by a car thing...done it...been there...kinda sucks
i hope you're ok and when you show up at work tomorrow in a neck brace, people might notice...it works.

I'm glad I could be there for you on your crappy day, to remind you about the time you got hit by a car. Just what you needed, I'm sure.

I don't have a neck brace I could wear to work, but I could make one of those big neck-cones they put on dogs sometimes. You know, so I don't chew my stitches.
