Since when did people fleeing war and political chaos and persecution in their home countries cease to called refugees and start being labelled as migrants, as though they are going to migrate back home in the autumn like Monarch butterflies? If governments can spin it so that we believe the "migrants" are a burden, then we won't pressure our governments to come up with a solution. In fact, we'll pressure them NOT to come up with a solution.

can we be friends? :) I read a couple of your public posts and liked them very much. And many of your interests are similar to mine. Though I didn't list many of my Hindu interests, we would have many in common in that area also. I'm just starting to "come out" from my LJ publicly. I went private for a long while, but looking forward to interacting like the good old days.

And what you said in the comment I'm responding to is something that matters very deeply.
