mixtape - general - drive it all over me

Behold! A mixtape! This one is not really fandom specific, but if you like you may consider it a short instrumental roadtrip mix for an emotionally despondent character of your choice with a foot on the accelerator.

Title: Drive It All Over Me
Subject: Driving at night, picking up speed, leaving town, roadtrips, etc.
Warnings/Notes: For round 14 ( Read more... )

I listened to it! I've already told you in gchat, but I'll put it here too that this is a great remix for writing fic to. It's nice that it's instrumental, so lyrics don't get in the way of the words I'm writing and I enjoy how it starts out slow and picks up speed, as it helps spur me on to write as the plot does the same, revving up to the climax.

Where is the summary you were writing to go along with it? The description, I guess is what it was... I liked what you had come up with.

Yay! I'm glad you like it! May you write many fics and, uh... prosper, I guess? Lol. It was fun chatting about writing music with you! We should do it again! :)

I decided the only way to not decide what I'd written for the description was not rubbish was to write the most mind-numbingly dull and to the point description I could. So, there's that. Oops!

Very engaging mix! The first song reminded me of Fantasia rather than driving, but I liked the general feeling of loneliness that I got from it; driving at night tends to be a solitary business. All in all, very cool, and I liked the way how the artwork is simple yet telling.

Thanks!

Wrt the first track, I was trying to build up a ~feeling, I suppose! The loneliness, getting in the car. In my head the songs follow the trajectory of leaving the city (here, that means driving at 40 km p/h through the suburbs, then at 70 on major roads, then 100 on the freeway out of town).
