Ha ha!

I took an intensive week long course over the summer and one of the other students was this old guy who was Civil War veteran and totally lost when it came to technology. Whoever sat next to him in the labs had to be his tutor. He was a nice guy, though, and when I sat by him, I spent the whole lab time explaining to him what an iPod is.

There was also a woman from China in the class and she was super smart but she had a problem with the language, too. She'd make notes during lectures and ask us questions over lunch. She was very nice, too, and nobody minded helping her. It was sometimes funny watching her learn the language. When one of our projects was dropped from the schedule because the teacher thought we wouldn't have enough time to do it, the Chinese woman exclaimed, "I'm so released!"

InDesign and Quark are two separate things, though both are used for the same purpose. InDesign, in some circles, is replacing Quark. After resisting for the past several years because I know Quark inside and out, I'm starting to work with InDesign and I love it.

P.S. Hi, handsome!

TXT messaging in class is the most annoying thing to me. Why do people do it? If I were an instructor I would say, "I'm easy to get along with...I only have one issue that pisses me off. Text messaging. If you think you might have to do it, pretend to need to pee and go outside." Then if I caught someone I'd fail them.
