It's amazing the thoughts that run through your head at 3 AM. I think that when I'm trying to go to sleep is the only time I think clearly. I wrote all of this then, and revised it just now. Also, I started 2 other poems that I'll probably never finish. Anyway, my mind is a pretty scary thing at 3 AM. Yeah.

I think your mind operates a whole lot better at 3 than mine does...;)

Anyway, I think it's a really good poem. :D Very pretty.

It's beautiful!!!!! Really though! I wish that I could write things with beauty as you have, everything I write is dark and bloody, seriously though. I love this, and long for the ability to do the same!

Kevin, I think this is beautiful! What in the world are you downing yourself for?! It brought tears to my eyes when I read it. You should save this and keep it safe and show it to the woman meant for you when she comes along.

What beautiful thoughts! I wish I could write something so heartfelt like that. Thank you so much for sharing!

Aww. I made you cry? Seriously?
Get a hold of yourself.

Oh yeah, and by the way, this poem WAS for that woman, whomever she might be. It was merely a reflection of my thoughts and hopes and expectations of what marriage might actually be like.

Also, you're kind of indirectly responsible for that poetry I was writing that night anyway. I ended up writing a few verses of something tentatively called "Scarlet Letters," and somehow I ended up writing that.

Thanks for the encouragement everyone. I have to confess that that is maybe the second or third poem I've ever finished in my life (I haven't even attempted that many, and this one still feels like it's missing something).
