This is one thing I try to convey to my geography students, globalization has good things and bad things but we can get the good things such as internationalization but lets not confuse that with the lowering of work and environmental standards as if they are somehow necessary for our world to progress.

The sad thing is labor is so very cheap out there that they can make absolute crap and the companies still make a profit because they pay starvation wages...
