I am a HUGE Shawn Colvin fan and I have been for ten years, and I am sooo excited about her new album coming out in two weeks... I thought I would try to meet other LJ users who are fans as well... Hey! Sorry I took so long to reply. My life has been really chaotic lately, and I'm afraid my journal might scare you or put you off or something. And yes, I LOVE Shawn (I don't have the new album yet, but I will once I can afford it!). ;) I really hope to see her in concert again sometime soon.

Okay, this was the post about SC!

Don't worry about taking time to reply...whatever! I don't think your LJ would scare me! Although I am curious...wheat-free doom? Does that mean you're celiac? (my brother and good friend are).

Anyway... When did you see SC in concert? I saw her at Lilith fair in 1997...so long ago! The songs on the new album are good... Not really like any of the other albums. Hmm, I really like most of them a lot, but I haven't found that any of them would be in like my top 5 favorites, say like "Another Plane Went Down" or "Suicide Alley", "Climb on a Back That's Strong"...but those things take time. Anyway, let me know when you think when you get it!
