Chris and Meggan came up to Sellabration! :-) I told him I hadn't seen anyone that he would know, and THEN I got lunch at the Volunteer Fire Department's BBQ Fund Raiser. Lorenzo Rios served me the chopped beef. He asked about Chris, Aaron and Ian. The line was moving too fast for much conversation, though.
The crowd at Sellabration was pretty good and stayed until 2:45. That's when the Hurricane-Ike-spawned rains finally hit. Then the crowd melted like sugar. By 3:00 the only people left were trying to take down their booths and keep their goods dry at the same time. As we were getting started with clean-up, the City Manager came with a "golf cart" and took a load of books to the library. That saved me three trips. I got soaked carrying stuff over to the library anyway. The rain was warm enough that it didn't really bother me until I went in where it was air-conditioned. BRRR!!
The reason I haven't survived completely is that we didn't have anyone to take all the books remaining at the end of the day. So I'm still looking for somewhere to donate them. I've got someone who will take all my children's books. I think I have someone who will take all the fiction paperbacks and possibly the VHS tapes. But I'm still working on disposing of the hardbacks. Needless to say we had more of these than anything else: 26 boxes of fiction and 25 boxes of nonfiction! AAAARRGGGHHHHH!
