Thirty Day Green Day Meme.
Day Eleven: Favorite song from American Idiot.
This whole album is brilliant, but there are definite favorites for me. Holiday because without that song, I probably never would have given Green Day a second chance. Whatsername because it has an uncanny ability to make me cry. Give Me Novocaine because the combination of the music and the lyrics gives me chills every time. Homecoming because of Mike's and Tré's vocal appearances. I could go on, but I would probably include every song on the album, so I'll leave it at these four songs :)

I had to go in to work two hours early today. I was pissed off about this at first, but my anger almost immediately dissipated when I noticed two cop cars pulling a van and a truck over on the road across the street from where I work. It was ridiculously slow in the restaurant at that point, so I grabbed myself a bag of chips, filled my cup with water, and sat at a table directly in front of the window to watch whatever the hell was going down. Soon after I sat down, another cop car pulled up. The third cop got out of his car, talked to the people in the van, and moved on to speak with the two other cops who were already swarming around the truck. They all seemed to question the woman driving the truck and ordered her to get out of the car. She nearly fell on her way out. I nommed a chip, hunched forward, and grinned.
This was going to be good.
The woman staggered her way to the end of her truck so the cops could further question her. She made ridiculously exaggerated gestures and seemed to be arguing with the cops before they finally decided to test her for drunk driving. Before she even lifted a foot off the ground to walk in a straight line, she stumbled and nearly fell again. Two of the three cops had to catch her to keep her from falling. I giggled to myself. This bitch was screwed.
For the next five minutes, I crossed my fingers and internally chanted silver bracelets, silver bracelets, silver bracelets until cop número dos whipped out the handcuffs while cop número uno appeared to commence in reading the drunk woman her rights. She looked pissed as they led her to the second cop car and forced her inside.
I'm still not sure why the van was pulled over as well, but it had its hazard lights on. My guess? The drunk bitch hit the van with her massive truck. Either way, I don't care. This was one of the most amusing pull-over experiences I've ever witnessed since working at Schlotzsky's...although, a few months ago a chase which ended in our parking lot comes to a close second. Another truck, which happened to have been driven by one of Lindsey's friends, jumped a curb just to get into our parking lot. They weren't very good at hiding. The cop cars were right behind them XD
Anyways, that was storytime with Aly. I'm done rambling now :)
