I think this is already the policy. Maybe it just wasn't written into legislation?

The email that I got that had this info in it, showed that the following sentences:

"A person who has reassigned gender shall send the Secretary of State confirmation from a licensed physician that the person’s gender has been reassigned. The Secretary of State shall adopt major substantive rules pursuant to Title 5, chapter 375, subchapter 2-A to determine the process for changing a person’s gender on the person’s driver’s license."

were the ones that were being added. I'm thinking that Kael's comment about it not being written into legislation, might be the case. I'm intrigued by this language that seems to indicate that you MUST notify the Secretary of State if you have reassigned your gender.
