All you needed to see was the GS's reaction to it's owner coming home. Kudos for calling. Better to call just in case.

So few people are ever proactive in their own community, even for pets. It's a real relief to know you are one of those few!

Shepards are not supposed to cower when approached.

Good move on redirecting her to toys. Keep it up every time she chews on anything that wasn't bought for her and she'll be the happiest pup ever!

It is like having another child! Hah!

It definately is like having another kid to take care of.

Boo on people that hurt their animals, good for you to call. It's so unfortunate that a lot of towns don't have better laws to protect animals. I hope yours checks them out.

when my fammily bought a laborador puppy from a litter, he would start crying when he settled down to sleep. i put a ticking clock underneath his blanket, as well as a hot water bottle. the ticking is supposed to be similar to the heart beats of the others in the litter. after about a week we stopped using the clock and he didnt go back to crying at night.

i know it's a slightly different situation that your puppy's, but maybe it would help maggie settle? :shrugs: just thought i'd share.

congratulations on your new puppy! she's adorable
