Welcome! Lucky you being able to read the light novels, you'll be able to see the story unfold far beyond the series. :)

Thank you~ So far I feel that the novel is more touching. The way the story unfolds in the novel made me feel closer to the characters~

I'm also majoring in Japanese (small world!) but I've not really gotten to the level of being able to read novels yet... Do the SM novels have furigana? The novels (not SM) I bought online recently don't have it, so I'm having a really hard time :P

Some words have furigana, but some don't. But I think it's a lot more than Full Metal Panic! novels.
I'm having troubles reading Japanese novels too, but I can't help it but to read them XD There are so many series that ends in the light novel. Plus, it's a great way to study (this is partly an excuse to justify my laziness of reading textbooks :p)

no, I downloaded them from this community and rawscans.com/forum
I'm not the right person to say this, but if you can afford it I suggest you to buy it online.I'm currently saving to buy one Saiunkoku novel ^_^ it's gonna take a while though.. just used my money to buy FMP novel..
I hope you'll get Saiunkoku novels soon! please tell me what you think after you read it~　XD
