I pretty much agree with the middle paragraph entirely. Although not all of the other Square PSX games were suck (Xenogears was incredible, biatch).

How do DQ8/G3 rate for people who've not played other games in the series? Oh oh, and did you play Star Ocean 3? That was a pretty heavy on the cinematics, way more than FFX too :\

Oh, I know. Xenogears was one of my favorite games of all time. I just meant the majority of their games after they moved to PSX weren't so hot... or, at least, not NEARLY as amazing as their SNES games.

I have the first Dragon Warrior game! Ahhh, those sound effects. Brings back memories of fighting random battles for two hours to go up one level.
