Bura Briefs sighed deep as she got off the airplane, tilting her shades forward a bit to look through the bustling airport. It was dark enough, so much that her shades seemed useless, and so she simply pulled them off and placed them hanging loosely from a pocket. Pulling her duffle bag around her shoulder, she began to weave her way through the monotonous crowd of morons and people who couldn't seem to keep their mouths shut.
Nice little greeting, she mused with slight distate through the little walk. She didn't really expect to find her family here to greet her, but then, knowing her Mom, she probably got the dates for her arrival screwed up again. No biggie, she would just fly off when she got the chance, it was much faster than riding in some car anyway.
2 years ago Bura had begged her Mom to send her off to the States in a boarding school, desiring both a new culture and a new perspective on life, where she could get away from her hectic family and sort herself out. And... sort herself out she did. In just 2 years she went from skirts and high-heel shoes to baggy blue jeans and bandana's. She held with her the dame attitude as always, though perhaps a bit magnified now... a little more cocky, and definately more brutal.
Finally, she found a place away from the head-splitting airport and into an alley, tipped with slight darkness even in this early day. Perfect... no one even noticed as she blasted off and into the sky. Freedom... purity... the wind was relief against her whole body, where years ago she would have simply complained of wind hair. Now, she embraced it... the air, the atmosphere... God she missed it all! Even...
Bura stopped down into a forest when she sensed it. Someone was approaching Earth. Who? Hell if she knew... all she knew was that she sensed a presense. Another thing added to her life... she trained excrutiatingly in martial arts the past years as well. Of course, she was nowhere near a level she deemed as efficient, but now that she was home perhaps her father could bring her up to speed. He had always wanted her to get into fighting anyway. For now...
The normalities were a welcome, even the sense of danger ahead was relieving. Well... it was hard to tell if whomever heading to their planet was a danger to them or not, but knowing their luck, it was probably another psycho wanting universal power or something along those lines. Ah well... home sweet home!
Ok peeps, fair warning. I was skipping around to see how to use lj-cut. If I did it wrong, feel free to delete this entry. I've got the thing saved, so I can just repost anytime the right way. *shrugs*
