Reply to Pancake's Thought Experiment

So, Pancake did this thought experiment thing. Which ends up with me being supposed to argue that humans shouldn't talk about, or tell stories about, things that don't exist, basically. And my initial reaction was, of course, "fuck this, it's stupid". But now I can't stop thinking about the question, and about why I have trouble even thinking

Oh, no, it's okay, Syn, I wasn't asking people to comment on this - it's a thought experiment one of my friends was doing to try to get his flist to play Devil's Advocate to themselves, basically. I just felt like putting my reply on my journal instead of a comment because I was so "WTF?!" and a bit wanky in his when I found out what the second part was.

And yeah, I absolutely couldn't live in the real world the whole time, and honestly, I don't think we should. *hugs*
