30 Days of Who - Day 1
I've been hesitating to do this meme, for various reasons... but I have been wanting to post more, and I want to do it before it's old and dead.
So I'm starting today. Now. 30 days of posting Doctor Who stuff. Allons-y!
Day 01 - Your Favourite Quote
Oh, this one's hard. Cos Who's quotableness is one of my favourite things about it and I love so many of them...
So do I go for the big ball of timey-wimey stuff? The turn of the Earth? "Basically... run"? "Look me up"? "I love it when you use my name"? "Sorry, that's the Lion King"? "And doesn't that scare you to death"? "Yes, because the universe is quite small and there's bound to be someone nearby"? Every time the Doctor opens his mouth, I'm as likely as not to get a new favourite quote...
I think, though, that at the moment (and I'll probably have changed my mind again next week) I can narrow them down to these two:
1. "The universe is vast and complicated and sometimes impossible things just happen and we call them miracles. Nine hundred years, never seen one yet, but this'd do me."
2. "Oh, of course, you mostly went hands-free, didn't you, it was like, "Oh, I'm the Doctor, I can save the world with a kettle and some string, and look at me, I'm wearing a vegetable'."
Probably not a coincidence that Moffat wrote both of those.
Of course next week I'll probably be back to "Well, I've got a banana and in a pinch you could put up some shelves," but, well.
