I... should be saying something about Sarah Jane. But the words aren't coming. There will be fic, probably, eventually, but, er, don't hold your breath?
Meanwhile, I'm gonna give you my random and unsorted thoughts on the Impossible Astronaut. (Which overall, I liked - may or may not be apparent from the below.)

Anyway, on to the meat of what you're saying. :)
Dare I hope for the return of the Gay Agenda? Dare I?
...I wouldn't hold your breath. The FBI was under the administration of J. Edgar Hoover at that point in time and he was rather...fanatical on some points, like the Cold War, the Red Scare, and anti-Civil Rights iirc. Canton could very well have wanted to marry a black woman or someone that was pro-socialism or pro-liberalism in any way. I doubt that if he were gay (and I'm not sure if same-sex marriage was even a hope back then), he would have been touting it around by making snide comments to his fellow agents. That could possibly end him in jail. Really.
I did like the "Two of them fancied me" bit though. Squee of delight!
Every one of those times, it was a Silent. You've just forgotten it.Now I thought that Amy remembered the Silence when she saw it, even after she turned away. I remembered being annoyed at Amy's significance ( ... )
