Philip - the sparrow
Yeah, I didn't update this journal for some time. (¬_¬)
Sorry. I was very lazy and hadn't the time.
....
It's already some time ago but I played mother for a smal bird (a sparrow) for five days.
Well, first I must tell I work in the zoo in the shop and sell merchandise and toys. ^^;
One day a costomer brought this littly guy to me with a small wound on the head... he fell out of the nest and it's sibling was already dead.
(There are also a lot of cats in the zoo because of the mice etc. ... so it wasn't save to leave him there)
So I took the small bird home because nobody couldn't / wouldn't help me from the zookeeper.
It was the first time I took care of a wild animal (I only own two budgerigars). But the guy in the pet shop helped me and told me what I need to feed him... and I also searched the Inet. ^-^
So it began...
I had to wake up before 6 am... this was hard but Philip wouldn't let me sleep longer and kept me busy until 10 pm.
Nevertheless I spoiled the little guy rotten...
This was only possible because I had some days off of work.
Then the saleswoman in an other pet shop did know a woman who takes care of wild birds and I could leave him in her experienced care.
It wasn't easy but I had to separate from Philip. -.-
If I had kept him longer I wouldn't be able to let him go.
I took this video the last day.
When Philip was found he hadn't that many feathers... he did grow so much. ^-^
